Season One
This premiered in 2019; I don't recall knowing of its existence before stumbling upon it on Disney+ in 2021. At that point I started watching it, but for what seems like a long time (actually just 11 episodes), I was never sure whether or not I'd continue watching it, let alone start a review for it. But I finally decided to do so, despite the fact that I'm really not sure how much I actually like the series. I mean, sometimes it's okay, but it's rarely if ever what I would call good. I guess I just keep watching because I like the title character, Gabby Duran (Kylie Cantrall, who also sings the show's catchy opening theme song). That kid's got spunk. Swagger. Moxie. A unique fashion sense. She seems to have unlimited self-confidence, despite the fact that she often makes poor decisions that end up causing a lot of trouble. But everything always turns out alright in the end.

Anyway, Gabby is a 13-year-old girl whose principal, Principal Swift (whom she calls "Swifty") turns out to be an alien called a Gor-Monite. His people are actually gelatinous blobs, but they can shapeshift into anyone or anything. Swift gives Gabby a job babysitting his nephew, Jeremy, the heir to the Gor-Monite throne (though there's some trouble on their homeworld, I don't recall the details). She also soon starts babysitting various other alien children who are disguised as humans, living on Earth for whatever reasons. Gabby lives with her divorced mother, Dina, and her precocious younger sister, Olivia. She also has a best friend named Wesley, a conspiracy theorist who's into all kinds of paranormal stuff, and soon learns about Gabby's job, a fact which they have to keep secret from Swifty. (But he eventually finds out Wesley knows about it, and just makes him promise not to let anyone else know.) And Olivia soon learns the truth, too.

For now, there's not much else I could think to tell you. It's all quite ridiculous, of course. But Gabby keeps it amusing.

Season Two
Unfortunately, the part of my review that covered this season has been lost, and there's not too much I can remember about it. I can say that Wesley starts dating an alien girl named Sky, whom Gabby had babysat and befriended in season one. And it seemed like this season the show focused less often on Gabby's babysitting duties than in the first season. And um... some interesting things happened that I wouldn't want to spoil, especially the season finale. That ended with a plot hook for another season, but unfortunately the show was cancelled. I really would have liked to see where the story would have gone in a third season.
