This was created by Mike Judge, previously known for creating Beavis & Butt-head (see other cartoons), a show I never watched much nor liked much. But this show was pretty good. I never really watched it as much as I should have, but I always liked it well enough when I did. Anyway, it's about Hank Hill (voiced by Judge), who lives in Arlen, Texas and sells propane and propane accessories, and takes his job like uber-seriously. Of course it's also about his wife Peggy (a substitute Spanish teacher), their son Bobby (who wants to be a stand up comic), their niece Luanne, and um... their odd assortment of friends, including Dale Gribble, Bill Dauterive, and Boomhauer (also voiced by Judge), among lots of other characters. I dunno what to say, really, but it's a good show, amusing, with good characters. It's a fairly simple, family comedy, I guess...

The show originally ran for 13 seasons (with the final four episodes airing on Adult Swim), from 1997 to 2010. In 2025, Hulu revived the series for season 14, with more seasons coming.
