Imaginary Friends (16:55)

So there's this 11-year-old girl named Cordelia, who sees ghosts. The main one she interacts with is a older boy named Eddy, who apparently was a punk, or whatever, before he died. Sometimes he causes trouble for her, but he also protects her. Cordelia's mother wants her to take pills that are supposed to make her stop "hearing voices", but Eddy persuades her not to take them. He also tells her that people like her used to be respected as, like, seers and shamans and stuff like that. There's not too much more I want to say about the plot, but the short is a proof of concept for a feature length film being produced called "Delia's Ghost". I think it would be interesting to see that movie, someday, to further explore what exactly is going on in this short. I need to say, it seems to me like the ghosts she sees are real (so not technically imaginary friends), but that doesn't necessarily mean there's nothing wrong with her, psychologically. There is some talk about her wanting to possibly burn down her school, but she says she hasn't decided yet. She seems very matter-of-fact and dispassionate about it. So yeah, I'd really like to see where the story goes, from here. For now I can just say I liked the relationship between Cordelia and Eddy, and I liked the special effects. And I'm curious about the intersection of seeing real ghosts and having schizophrenia or something, in this particular fictional universe.
