This accompanied the theatrical release of Frozen, as well as the DVD and Blu-ray releases of that movie. It was also included on the "Walt Disney Animation Studios Short Films Collection."
It starts out in black & white, seeming like a 1920s-era Mickey Mouse short, although I must say the gags seemed rather risqué, to me. I mean seriously, I was kind of like "WTF?" But still, I wasn't particularly amused by it. Until the big twist, which I don't want to spoil. From that point on it gets very inventive and funny. Even so, I did feel like it went on a bit too long. I enjoyed the inventiveness, but it was still basically all the same concept, which started wearing a bit thin, in my estimation. So, um... it's definitely a cool short and I really dug it. And I might like it more (and rate it higher) if I watch it again sometime. Although I do feel like the way in which it's so clever might not work as well when you know it's coming. But I could be wrong about that, and I'm sure there are plenty of people who liked it more than I did the first time they saw it.
Oh, I just realized I haven't actually described the plot at all. Um... there's a hay ride with Mickey and Minnie and some other characters, and then there's a fight with Peg-Leg Pete, who basically kidnaps Minnie. And the fight takes a major turn when the plot twist happens. And that's all I wanna say.
