I should mention that just about anyone who knows me, knows I'm kind of obsessed with Tinker Bell (she's kind of my waifu, if that term can be applied to western animated characters). But I should also mention that she's far from the only fairy that I like. There are, of course, Tink's Disney-created friends from the series of books and movies she's starred in, beginning in 2005 and 2008, respectively. (I'm afraid I haven't read any of the books, but I might like to do so, someday.) So, here's a list of just some of the fairies I can remember liking, from pop culture.
Aisling (from The Secret of Kells)
Bell (from MÄR)
The Blue Fairy (as well as Tinker Bell and any other fairies, from Once Upon a Time)
Crysta (from FernGully: The Last Rainforst)
Fairy (from The Legend of Neil, based on the fairies from the "Legend of Zelda" video games. Here, she's played by one of my favorite actresses, Felicia Day.)
Glitter (from Kidd Video)
Neopets (all the faeries, though my fave was Illusen. I used to have a gallery for them, but I deleted it years ago. And I haven't played the game in years, either.)
Tinker Bell (from Peter Pan, as well as a series of Tinker Bell movies, etc. I've had more than one gallery for her.)
There are probably some I've forgotten, and many more I've never even seen. But I also tend to like fairies in art, such as that by artists like Amy Brown, Brian and Wendy Froud, Selina Frenech, Linda Ravenscroft, et al., who have produced any number of art books, calendars, dolls, figurines, post cards, boxes, greeting cards, posters, gifts and decor of all sorts, with styles ranging from classical to cute to Gothic to bizarre (or any combination thereof), and from childlike innocence to overtly sexual. But it's all wicked cool, and a lot of it is also wicked hot.
