The Star Wars Storybook (pub. 1978)
Amazon; StoryGraph; Wookieepedia

I've had this as long as I can remember, but I'm not sure where I got it. I think it actually belonged to my dad, originally, and I probably just sort of... appropriated it. I don't remember if I read this before or after the first time I saw Star Wars, but I do know it's fairly nostalgic to me. It has a bunch of film stills from the movie, as well as telling the whole story of the movie. But it has one page that talks about a scene that isn't actually in the movie, where Luke is talking to his old friend Biggs. Years later, after getting on the internet, I learned that there were other scenes that had been cut from the movie, which aren't even mentioned in this book. And I've always wanted to see all of those scenes. In 1997, when the movie was rereleased to theaters in Special Edition format, there was a scene with Biggs and Luke later in the movie, which is mentioned briefly in this book, though I didn't remember that. But the earlier scene still isn't in the movie. There are also Storybooks for "Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi," but I've never seen those books. I'd totally like to, and they shouldn't be hard (or expensive) to get.

Anyway... I had scanned a few pages from the book, but all but one of those was lost, which perhaps ironically, was the Biggs scene.
